J. Kirk Fisher

Kirk is a native South Carolinian and was born in Greenville. Kirk graduated from Wade Hampton High School and attended Furman University where he majored in History. Kirk worked full time to pay his way through Furman and was a member and officer of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity, played intramural sports and was named to the Deanís List. After graduating from Furman, Kirk attended Mercer University School of Law and returned to Greenville to practice law after graduation.

Kirk began his career as an assistant prosecutor with the 13th Circuit Solicitorís Office, and was quickly promoted to head the Traffic Crimes Unit. As the lead prosecutor of the Traffic Unit, Kirk was responsible for prosecuting reckless and drunk drivers involved in wrecks resulting in serious personal injuries and fatalities. In 1998, Kirk joined a small firm in Greenville where he applied his courtroom experience as a prosecutor to helping persons injured by careless drivers in automobile and motorcycle wrecks. In 2003, Kirk resigned from his firm to accept the opportunity to attend Vermont Law School and study Environmental Law, where he graduated with high honors
(magna cum laude).

After practicing environmental law in Atlanta for 2 years, Kirk returned to Greenville.  Kirk is an avid motorcycle rider and realized a need for injured riders to have an attorney that understands the unique legal issues faced by riders injured in motorcycle wrecks, so in 2009, Kirk decided to dedicate his practice to protecting the rights of injured motorcyclist. Kirk attends almost every motorcycle event that Iron Horse participates in to personally meet as many fellow riders as possible. Kirk also devotes much of his free time traveling across the state to speak to groups of riders about how to protect themselves and their families by having the proper insurance on their motorcycles and cars in the event of a wreck.

Outside of the office, Kirk enjoys riding his Harley-Davidson, restoring antique sports cars, extreme off-road driving, camping, hiking, snow skiing, weight lifting and spending as much time as possible with his daughters, Ava and Olivia.  Kirk serves the Greenville community as a volunteer firefighter with the Duncan Chapel Fire Department.
